On behalf of Radiological Society of South Africa (RSSA) we cordially invite you to attend the first joint SAFIRE / SAINTS congress in Cape Town, South Africa to be held from 22 – 24 October 2021.
This will be the 3rd SAFIRE (Society of African Interventional and Endovascular Therapy) and 3rd SAINTS congress. The Century City Conference Centre is about 10km outside the Cape Town city centre. Century City is centrally located in relation to the greater Cape Town metropole, with easy access from the popular Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, and the Southern, Northern and West Coast suburbs. Its situation on the N1 also provides convenient access to the Cape Town International Airport, and the Cape Winelands. Cape Town’s largest shopping centre, Canal Walk, which has more than 400 shops and restaurants is within easy walking distance.
We assure you of an experience where you will be exposed to both a technically advanced and academically stimulating program.
The SAFIRE tract will be Interventional Radiology and we plan and hope to be supported by African speakers from various countries.
The academic and scientific program is the result of meticulous planning of the local organising committee. Sincere appreciation to Dr. Charles Sanyika (Chair SAintS), Anith Chacko, (RSSA CME Committee chair), RSSA President and exco members.
The objectives of these societies are complementary and supportive of the fields of study involved thus the decision to hold a joint meeting. The strategic aim is to provide a platform for debates on the current issues regarding the role of Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology, all very relevant to the African continent.
We look forward to welcoming you to Cape Town in 2021.
Please do not miss this opportunity – be sure to diarise now!
Dr Paul Rischbieter
